FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Delivery and pick up of items
If you are checking in/out of a rental unit, we attempt to make contact with the owner or rental agency to gain access before your arrival. We set up the equipment for you!
If this cannot be done, we like to call you to arrange an alternative method of delivery and pickup. We are very flexible and contact you directly with any questions and to confirm your delivery.
At any time, you can call (727) 521-1525 to modify delivery preferences.
Renting for multiple weeks.
With an extended rental things can really add up. We offer discount packages and can tailor one for your extended stay. Please call (727) 521-1525 (7 days, 8am to 9pm ET) with inquiries. We can take your order over the phone or arrange a package for your items to be checked out online.
Availability of items
If you order 2 weeks ahead of your arrival, your items are guaranteed. We will add to our inventory to accomodate your rental.
Last-minute rentals are not guaranteed. If you need an item quickly, we suggest that you call (727) 521-1525. Or you can place your order online and we will contact you quickly afterwards with any issues. We try our best to accomodate every customer.
Delivery to airport
Please call beacuse we have options for customers arriving at the airport.
• We work with a taxi company Bay & Beach Taxi that provides a flat fee ranging from $40 – $50 from the Tampa airport to the Gulf Beaches. If you use Bay & Beach Taxi for your transportation, I will include the sanitized and installed Car Seat at no charge for the trip from the airport to the condo.
• Depending on items ordered, we can possibly deliver all items to you at the airport.
Car seats and travel
Beach Family Rentals does rent car seats but cannot deliver them to the airport. Most rental car agencies rent car seats, though they can be around the $50 mark.
If you have an integrated travel system, the seat portion can usually be checked in the same ‘special’ manner as the stroller. Bring both items right to the gate.
Obviously, if you have a friend or relative arriving before you, they can bring the seat to the airport.
But other than that, you may wish to pay the extra cost to check your own seat and rent something that you might have otherwise brought with you.
Florida car seat laws
All children 5 years of age or younger must be properly restrained no matter where they are sitting in the vehicle. Children through age 3 must be secured in a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer’s integrated child safety seat. For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child safety seat, or a safety belt may be used. (FL Statute 316.613).
Infants must ride rear-facing until they are at least one year old and weigh 20 pounds or more. Rear-facing, the infant should be semi-upright at an angle or no more than 45 degrees. A forward-facing older child should ride sitting upright. Never place a child in a child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag.
